DynaLight HD and PictureShow

I used DynaLight HD and PictureShow iPhone apps for this image. First in DynaLight HD, I lightened the aircraft and darken the sky. In PictureShow I used vintage khaki, grain, light streak 4 and worn out border.
Both images have had recent updates. DynaLight HD has a new interface that his much easier to use. The iPhone/iPad app is similar to Shadows/Highlights in Photoshop AND does a good job at it.
PictureShow recently updated, and while adding a couple of filters, removed a few others. The outcry from users was heard and most will be restored soon in a new update.

Shooting the Moon

Its SuperMoon time. The moon is some 14% closer in orbit, the closest to the earth in 18 years. Good excuse to go shoot the moon over Los Angeles City Hall. A similar frame was used in this morning's Los Angeles Times and on the LA Times.com web site.
Of course during the shoot, and driving home last night the words of "Take Me To the Moon" was stuck in my head. I dare you to watch this NASA flick on YouTube.

As part of my iPhone/iPad image of the day project I started with a recent photo of "Bus Home" a large 2002 art work by Dennis Oppenhim located at a bus transfer station in Ventura, California. For this final image I used Iris Photo Suite and ArtistaOil, a new iPhone app recently purchased. In Iris Photo Suite I used auto histogram setting, cosmic scene and black and white red filter. In ArtistaOil I used abstract 04 watercolor preset.
In Iris Photo Suite auto histogram and cosmic scene used. Then Black and white red filter. In ArtistaOil iPhone app, watercolor number 4 preset used.
