Recycle Man

March, 1980: Mehiton Oregos, 67, daily pushes his bulging cart around Huntington Park collecting recycle material for money. His is accompanied by his dogs Paloma and Poquito. Hard of hearing and speaking only Spanish, Oregos became a local institution. Local businesses not only left recycle material for him, but also food and soft drinks.
